Brendan Fraser, handsome, funny, and equally at home in action, comedy and drama. A favorite of the internet crowd. A himbo with no equal. I must have watched him in George of the Jungle no less than 37,000 times when my kids where young. George’s “biggest swing in jungle history” is my favourite part of the film and always reminds me of the classic Daffy Duck “Yoiks and away!” from Looney Tunes cartoons, which shares much the same sensibility. Whether it’s The Mummy, Encino Man, Air Heads, Blast from the Past or my perhaps controversial favorite Bedazzled, where his multiple performances peaked with his sweaty basketballer (“Well, you know you go out there and you give 110%..”) Brendan is always great value and makes a welcome addition to my Modern Saints roster. Thank you Brendan for years of entertainment.
